CTA: Step Up Your Marketing Game

A call to action (commonly referred to as CTA) is crucial and should be included in all marketing material. It is essentially a statement that prompts action from a consumer in an advertisement. An example of this is the saying “sign up now” on poster for gym membership. Digitally, CTAs take many forms, because unlike a poster, they can encourage people to click on a link, fill out a form, or do other things directly with ease. One form that people commonly see is pop-ups. Pop-ups prompt viewers to do something like “order now”, “sign up for our newsletter”, or “get a 10% discount when you share your email”. These are great ways to grab the attention of people visiting your website.

Banner ads, the rectangular and sometimes animated ads seen on websites, must include a CTA. Without one, what is an internet user supposed to do? The goal of a banner ad is to get people to visit a website. This is commonly to do things like get people to sign up for an event, apply for a job opening, or check out a sale. Without a CTA there is no reason for someone to click on a banner ad. It should be clear and attention grabbing as website visitors will only glance at them briefly. Because people process images 60,000 times faster than text, and they are typically small, ads should have more attention-grabbing imagery and strip down text to what is truly important.

One of their main purposes of marketing materials that people sign up for, such as newsletters or text messaging, is to get people to interact with your business. These CTAs might look like “sign up for our meet and greet”, “check out these hot new deals”, or “view new products”. These are especially important as consumers have already shown interest in your business by signing up and these statements nudge a consumer further towards the end of the marketing funnel.

All social media posts should also include a CTA, even if it isn’t a direct advertisement. Advertising posts might include many of the phrases already listed in this blog. Other posts should include CTAs that boost engagement. Engagement is when someone interacts with a post in some way including likes, shares, and comments. To gain more interactions posts might include phrases like “comment what you think”, “like to see part two”, “share with someone who also loves dogs”, or other statements that encourage social interactions. Engagement increases how many people see your post. The more people who see your posts see your page. More people seeing your page means that more people following your page. This all gives your brand more visibility which results in more sales.

It is clear that CTAs are a necessary part of every form of advertising, beyond the few that are listed in this article. If you are interested in what you learned from this article, consider consulting our marketing experts for ways to get your message out there. We offer a variety of advertising strategies that will call consumers to take action and increase your sales.

Social Media is too Overwhelming, Why Bother?

We live in an era of great technological change, and businesses all over the globe are facing the challenge of adapting. According to Sprout Social, 78% of consumers are willing to buy from a business they had a good experience with on social media. The same report found that a massive 80% of business executives found it crucial to invest more money into social media marketing. Social media enables businesses to be more social (as the name implies). Creating a good relationship with customers fosters trust. Trust in your business leads to trust in your product or service.

Unfortunately, simply knowing the statistics doesn’t make running a social media account easier, especially for small businesses that have little time or resources. Key things that will help you overcome the overwhelm are utilizing tools on different social media platforms, planning, and keeping a running list of ideas.

Most social media platforms have tools for businesses and creators to make their experience easier and have a more professional appearance on their pages. One star example of this is Facebook. Facebook is the most popular social media site in the world and has 2.99 active users every month according to their 2023 Q1 report. That’s nearly 3 out of every 8 people on the planet! Facebook has a tool called Meta Business Suite that allows you to schedule posts ahead of time, easily reply to comments, run ads, and much more. It can also be connected to an Instagram business profile. These tools can make your experience much easier and are huge timesavers. Be sure to research each social media platform you choose to use and take advantage of any help they provide. There are also other third-party websites and apps that can help you manage social media accounts.

Planning ahead is essential when running a social media account. Every significant event for your business, be it a sale or a grand opening, should have a campaign. Be sure to have posts that build up to the event, posts while it is going on, and posts sharing how it went. Creating a simple marketing plan and knowing ahead of time when you want to post will help you stay on top of things. Use tools, as discussed in the previous paragraph, to schedule them ahead of time.

Just as you should come up with a schedule for promotions, you should also schedule regular content to keep in contact with your customers. It can be difficult to come up with social media posts on the fly. Keep a running list of different post ideas to use when you are going through content dry spells. These can be posts such as employee highlights, sharing about your products, flashback posts, joke-of-the-day, or posts that encourage interactions. Keeping in mind your business’ voice, try posting a meme or some encouragement. Customers want to attain value from your content, so it’s important to post more than just ads.

Social media overwhelm is real for business owners, but don’t let it bog you down! The relationships social media platforms can foster with your customer base are invaluable. Utilize tools, plan ahead, and keep a list of ideas so you feel in control of your social platforms.

Getting the Word Out: How Banner Ads Place Themselves Perfectly

You’ve worked for weeks to organize a fundraising event for a local charity hosted by your business. Or perhaps a huge sale is coming up in your shop. Maybe business has been dwindling or you’re looking to hire new talent. Clearly, there is a need to get the word out, but how?

Our modern environment has nearly limitless ways to advertise, but some are more effective than others. It’s essential to weigh the pros and cons of each before allocating funds. One avenue that thousands of businesses utilize is digital advertising. It has exploded in the past few years and for good reason. The average time spent on digital devices is continually increasing. In 2022, U.S. adults spent an average of 8 hours and 28 minutes daily on digital devices! With this many people spending time online, your potential audience is huge.

Banner ads, aka the little rectangular ads you see at the edges of websites, are a very popular form of digital advertising. They can have a huge reach and lead people directly to any website of your choosing when clicked on. Sharing your ads with a large pool of people is good, but without reaching people who are interested, your budget could just be flowing down the drain. Luckily, banner ads have a few strategies to prevent this.

1 – LOCAL DIGITAL ADVERTISING

Local digital advertising is incredibly helpful if you have services that best apply to local people. This skill uses geofencing, geotargeting, and household addressable targeting. These very effective approaches are similar but have some key differences.  Geofencing is a location-based targeting that places ads in front of people within certain boundaries. Think of it as a fence laid out in the area you want people to see your ad. People within that fence will receive the banner ad when using the web. Geotargeting works very similarly to geofencing but instead uses markers such as state, city, zip code, or radius. This is great for larger areas or regions where you want people to view your ads. Household addressable targeting reaches people with exceptional precision. This will serve ads in neighborhoods and households that your ads would apply best to.

2 – DEMOGRAPHIC TARGETING

Once you determine what zip codes you want your ad to run in, you then can choose what demographics you want to look at your ads. This could be factors such as age, sex, race, parental status, and some others. These are effective at reaching your specific target audience. This might come in handy if you are looking to hire young new employees or want to advertise a women’s clothing sale.

3 – BEHAVIOR TARGETING

As the name implies, this form of targeting automatically analyzes the digital habits of consumers. If your ad is targeting people who want to use your broadband internet services and someone searches phrases such as “I need faster internet”, “why is my internet so slow”, or “best internet providers” Google is more likely to place your ads in front of them. It identifies the keywords in their searches or the websites they are spending time on that indicate they may be on the search for a new internet provider. With all these tools at their disposal, digital banner ads can ensure that they are going to people who are more likely to have an interest in your business. Each form of advertising has its own strengths, banner ads’ is placing your ad in the right places to get the most bang for your buck.

Just Like Grandma’s Cookies and Diamonds: Radio is Timeless

Anybody older than 10 knows that we live in a time of great technological change. Some of these changes have given birth to new ad platforms that pepper the internet and app store.

While these new platforms are exciting and worthwhile, radio remains a reliable and steadfast

way to market your business. AM/FM radio still makes up 76% of daily audio time spent with any ad-supported platform, according to https://www.adresultsmedia.com. Its unique advantages make it perfect for both local businesses seeking community connections and large corporations aiming to reach a broad audience.

1. The Personal Touch of Audio Storytelling:

Radio ads do not sit around idly. They engage with people who are actively listening during their commute to work, during their day by the pool, or while chilling with friends. Because there is no visual input, it activates their imagination when picturing the person or product in a memorable

way. This emotional connection is especially valuable for conveying brand messages and building brand loyalty.

2. Local Businesses: Building Strong Community Ties:

For local businesses, radio advertising is a perfect platform for establishing a presence in their area. People know and trust their local stations; many may know the people behind the voices sharing your products. People are often looking for local news, events, and discussions when they tune in so your local goods, services, or events can be very appealing.

3. Cost-Effective Advertising Solutions:

Radio advertising offers a cost-effective solution for businesses with varying budgets. Compared to other advertising platforms, the production and airing costs for radio ads are often more affordable, allowing businesses to maintain a consistent presence without breaking the bank. We offer advertising for a variety of rates at our stations, so there is a campaign to fit nearly any budget.

4. Large Corporations: Reaching the Masses

For large corporations, radio advertising is perfect for reaching a mass audience quickly and effectively. Major radio stations with extensive coverage provide access to millions of listeners, ensuring that brand messages reach a vast and diverse population. This makes them perfect for events, sales, spreading the word about your services, and much more.

5. Frequency and Reach

Radio ads are a good way to get high-frequency exposure. With people tuning in at various times throughout the day, radio ads have multiple opportunities to reach and resonate with their target audience. It also gives ads the opportunity to reach many and stick in the minds of frequent listeners.

6. Complementary to Digital Strategies

Radio advertising does not compete with other digital marketing but complements them. By integrating radio with other efforts, including digital marketing, businesses can create cohesive and cross-platform advertising campaigns that reinforce brand messaging and increase overall brand impact.

Radio advertising remains a timeless and powerful platform for businesses seeking to connect with audiences on a personal level and establish a strong brand presence. It reaches consumers from a source they trust and engages with them. As technology advances, radio advertising continues to prove its resilience, reminding us that sometimes, the power of the human voice is all we need to make an impact.
