The Role: Full-Time TV Production

Salary: Based on Experience

Location: Norfolk NE

News Channel Nebraska has an opening for a person who loves working with technology, being part of a fast-paced workplace, and being the source of information in a community. NCN is looking for a motivated and skilled broadcast professional to join its TV production team.

This person will work in NCN’s master control room in Norfolk and contribute to the technical creation and playout of video content. News Channel Nebraska is a statewide TV network that broadcasts local news, sports and entertainment 24 hours a day.

This opening is for the early morning shift, which starts at 5:00 a.m. CT.

Responsibilities:

• Directing newscasts
• Operating TV automation and graphics systems
• Switching between broadcast feeds
• Editing video
• Assisting news and live events departments as needed

What we’re looking for:

• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand and operate technology
• Skill at working efficiently and creatively under deadline pressure
• Ability to work as part of a team

Qualifications:

• One year of broadcast news production experience preferred
• College degree in journalism, broadcasting, or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with Apple and Adobe products
• Must live within reason commuting distance of Norfolk, Neb.
