Sherry Foster
CURRENT ROLE
Sherry joined Flood Communications in 2021 when Flood purchased KHAS, KKPR, KLIQ & ESPN Radio in the Tri-Cities where she worked. Sherry is currently the General Manager at KHAS Radio and loves leading the talented Hastings Team that she fondly refers to as her extended family! With deep roots, she has lived in Hastings for decades and takes pride in her radio job and getting to help local Hasting’s businesses grow by using the large variety of marketing products that Flood Communications has to offer!
BACKGROUND
Prior to Flood Communicaitons, Sherry started working at KHAS Radio in 1999 and over the years has built great relationships with local businesses and local community leaders in her 25-plus year Radio Career! She focuses on giving back and serving the community of Hastings that she loves so dearly! Prior to her Radio Career Sherry worked for 2 financial institutions in the Banking industry, one in Arkansas and one in Nebraska, and was responsible for handling and balancing large sums of money every day.
FAMILY
Sherry lives in Hastings with her husband LaMont whom she adores along with their two rescue dogs Jazz & Reecy Bear. Sherry sings and plays the keyboard and Lamont is a drummer and they love playing music together! You might have seen them perform together in various Modern & Classic Country, Southern Rock and Gospel Music Bands across the State of Nebraska and beyond! When they are not playing music, enjoying great food, or playing with their dogs, they enjoy spending time with their granddaughter Lainey, who is a bundle of joy. Sherry’s daughter Erica and Son-n-law Andy live in Hastings, so it is quite often that you’ll find the whole family hanging out and sharing a great meal together.
FUN FACTS
Sherry grew up in Arkansas in the deep South. She has lost most of her Southern Accent but every now and then you will still hear her say Y’all.
Sherry started playing the piano/keyboard at the young age of 6. She is self-taught and can hear something and generally play it by ear! Sherry started playing and singing in a variety of bands as a young teenager, played for her high school choir and musical groups and over the years has traveled all over the US sharing her musical talent in bands for a variety of venues from auditoriums, opening acts of National bands, County & State Fairs, Gospel music for church services, and special occasion concerts
