DESCRIPTION

Flood Communications is looking for a full-time Video Production & Editing Specialist to join our creative media team! If you have a strong passion for visual storytelling, editing compelling video content, and designing advertising graphics that drive engagement, this role is for you.

While this position includes some occasional video production/shooting responsibilities, this position is heavily focused on post-production. Approximately 75% of your time will be spent editing video content. You’ll work closely with our sales team, creative teammates, and the lead Video Producer to bring marketing content to life across TV, web, and social media platforms. We’re looking for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and excited to develop their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

  • Edit short-form video content for TV, web, and social media with a focus on storytelling and brand alignment.
  • Design graphics and simple animations for video campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and internal team members to translate project needs into visual content.
  • Occasionally assist with in-state video shoots (interviews, b-roll), including light setup of cameras, lighting, and audio gear.
  • Handle post-production tasks: organizing footage, editing interviews, syncing audio, adding motion graphics, and basic color correction.
  • Prepare and export final videos in appropriate formats for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Maintain organized file structures and backups for projects.
  • Assist in providing proper maintenance and care of all production equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 1–2+ years of relevant editing and production experience (freelance, academic, or agency experience all considered).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Understanding of video production principles including storytelling, pacing, sound design, and basic motion graphics.
  • Basic knowledge of camera equipment and lighting techniques (occasional shoots).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with file management and deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction, work independently, and collaborate within a team structure.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (occasional in-state travel).

BONUS SKILLS (not required, but helpful)

•Experience with social-first video formats (Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok).

  • Bilingual or experience working with multilingual projects.
  • Knowledge of color grading, use of audio mixing tools, and understanding of compression settings and codecs for various platforms.
  • Drone pilot certification or experience with aerial videography
